Private Singing Lessons
Sarah conducts Private Singing Lessons for Beginner, Advanced and Professional level Students. Students are allocated a set time for a lesson once a week (or fortnightly upon request).
Lessons cover studies in Technique, Repertoire and Performance skills.
All lessons begin with a half hour warm-up which addresses key aspects of technique, followed by work on a song to apply this new knowledge.
Sarah is qualified to teach most styles, especially Pop, Musical Theatre, Jazz and Classical. She has taught Primary, Secondary and Tertiary/Full time students and is a qualified coach and tutor for the VCE Singing Syllabus. She also very much enjoys teaching adult students of all levels and abilities.
Students are provided with backing tracks and sheet music for their songs to take away to practice or perform with. Individual vocal and singing performance goals are set for each student, to develop the student at their own pace.
Sarah prefers to take on students who are serious about learning to sing 'properly'. She is not a 'quick fix' teacher and students should be advised that it requires time, commitment and dedication when learning from Sarah. She requests that students attend lessons regularly and are dedicated during lesson time to, upon Sarah's guidance, changing their voice for the better. She can promise that in time you will see results that you never expected, and what an exciting time that is for all students who persevere.
